EcoClean Restoration
About EcoClean

The company that shows up first, and stays through the rebuild.

EcoClean was built around a simple idea — that a flooded basement or a house fire should be one phone call, not seven. One team that handles the emergency, helps you file the claim, packs out your contents, and finishes the rebuild. That’s the company Paul Linek and Angie Giles set out to build in 2012, and that’s the company that shows up on your driveway today.

Our story

Started in 2012. Same idea ever since.

The EcoClean restoration crew in matching uniforms standing in front of the service fleet at the warehouse.

Paul and Angie started this in 2012 with one truck. Most weeks were burst pipes and flooded basements, and most jobs ended with the customer being handed off to a separate company for the rebuild. That handoff was almost always where the experience fell apart — schedules slipped, paperwork disappeared, and someone ended up arguing with the insurance company.

So we built the company sideways instead of bigger. We added the mitigation training, then the reconstruction crews, then the contents pack-out facility, then the people who get paperwork into the format insurance companies ask for. When asbestos or mold or smoke showed up in the middle of a job, we kept the project under one roof instead of bouncing the customer to a second company. The customer kept the same number, the same project manager, the same schedule.

Fourteen years later we’re still doing the same job, with more crews and better tools. The owners still answer the phone. Project managers still walk through the damage in person. The handoff that used to wreck the experience doesn’t exist here — it’s the same team from the first hour on site to the final receipt.

How we operate

Four things we don’t flex on.

These four rules decide how every EcoClean job gets run.

  • 01

    One team, one number.

Mitigation, contents, asbestos, mold, fire, rebuild — same company. The handoff that wrecks most restoration projects doesn’t exist here.

  • 02

    We bill your insurance directly.

We help you file the claim, meet your adjuster on site, and document the damage in the format insurance companies ask for. The claim stays in your name — and most homeowners never pay more than their deductible.

  • 03

We tell you when not to file.

If a claim doesn’t make sense for the damage, we say so. If a wall doesn’t need to come out, it stays. We’d rather earn the next call than pad this one.

  • 04

The owners are on the phone.

EcoClean is not a franchise or a call center. Paul Linek and Angie Giles own the company, run it from Downers Grove, and still pick up when a job needs them.

The full-service model

What “handles the whole job” actually means.

One project manager runs every job on this list from the first call to the last invoice — you never get handed off. When the law requires a specialist, like licensed asbestos abatement, we hire them, schedule them, and stay in charge of your job.

  • Emergency response — a project manager on site in 60–90 minutes, 24/7, serving Chicago and all surrounding suburbs. Free inspection and estimate; you approve the scope and price before any work starts.
  • Water mitigation — extraction, structural drying, moisture mapping, antimicrobial.
  • Fire & smoke — soot containment, odor neutralization, contents protection.
  • Mold — handled within the larger restoration project.
  • Contents — pack-out, cleaning, climate-controlled storage, itemized return.
  • Asbestos & specialty hazards — licensed abatement specialists we hire, schedule, and supervise inside your project.
  • Reconstruction — drywall, paint, flooring, finish. The same team that scoped the damage finishes the job.
  • Insurance paperwork — we help you file the claim, bill your insurance directly, and document everything in the format insurance companies ask for.
  • Customer portal — current job, documents, invoices, receipts, past jobs. One link per customer.
